Elsmore, KS is a quiet little town in Southeast Allen County, which was founded in the late 1800's when the railroad was built. Businesses in and near Elsmore include a post office, an elevator, a vehicle repair shop, and two restaurants. There is a fishing lake and camping area several miles east of Elsmore.

     There is a community building in Elsmore, which is available for meetings and family functions. The local Ruritan Club is a large, active civic organization devoted to community service.

     The Methodist Church in Elsmore was organized in 1891 and the original Church building was replaced in 1957 after becoming in poor repair.
