Step Inside America's Hometown...
"a delightful place"
Humboldt was founded in 1857. It was for the most part founded by a German Colony organized in Hartford, Conn., named in honor of Baron von Humboldt. Humboldt is a thriving business town, situated in the southwest part of the county, on level valley lands on both the east and west banks of the Neosho River.
