Iola has many local attractions, including the Bowlus Fine Arts Center which rivals some of the more famous concert halls in the United States. Riverside Park is the hub of the City's recreational program. The park includes 6 ball diamonds, 2 community centers, a football stadium, and the largest swimming pool in eastern Kansas. The citizens of Iola are proud to have the special distinction of having the largest downtown square in the country.
